Interactive assessment

Assess the arrangement you need

Score one service, or one part with a distinct purpose. Each answer is a design choice for the future, rather than a description of today.

Your answers remain in this page while it is open. Download the JSON file to keep or resume your work. It may contain sensitive notes, so store it accordingly. Nothing is submitted.

Purpose and boundaries

The 21 requirements

Choose a whole number from 0 to 10. Every question has its own endpoints: a higher number doesn't always mean more independence. A slider starts in the middle without an answer; move it, or type a number, to choose.

For sponsor involvement in governance, 0 means full oversight, and 10 means no involvement. For community, service-user, and employee involvement, 0 means none, and 10 means full involvement.

Capability and feasibility

These judgements don't change the fit percentage. They identify work that the percentage cannot do.

Can we define outcomes, govern the relationships, and steer a complex system?
Can the necessary administrative and specialist support work in the proposed arrangement?
Is there evidence that the delivery body can govern itself and deliver? If no body is needed, explain that in the notes.
Is the wider market or community willing and able to sustain this arrangement?

Record the decision

A ranking is an input to this record. Use it alongside evidence about actual options and their consequences.
